Who We Are

SWOLPA is an organization of volunteer workers dedicated to the development of the livestock industry in South Western Ontario.While the emphasis is placed on the encouragement of young people to participate in livestock shows and sales, the most important aspect of the work of the Association is to maintain a lively and profitable livestock business in this essentially cash crop area. To fit into the changing pattern of Canadian Agriculture required constant adaptation on the part of the producer. Too much reliance on a few crops could spell trouble. Diversification of interests, including livestock is our constant byword.The area businesses have been particular generous in their support of the organization.The directors wish to emphasis that the continued support of the community can be maintained if the quality and condition of the cattle is kept at the highest possible level.
